The Business & Finance Academy was established in 2001 and at the same time began an affiliation with the National Academy Foundation which serves more than 88,000 students throughout the United States.
In 2010, we partnered with Enterprise State Community College and began offering college credit to our Business & Finance Academy students. The seniors of 2012 were the first graduates to graduate with an Advanced High School Diploma/Advanced Career Technical Education Endorsement and an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Students must complete 70 hours of college credit while they are in the Business & Finance Academy to be awarded their Associate Degree.
Students who participate in the Academy receive training at the Troy Bank and Trust —Academy Branch Training Facility located on PCHS campus. The students participate in a paid internship during the school year at the PCHS training facility and will receive $500 upon graduation.
