The Academy of Business & Finance was established in 2001 and at the same time began an affiliation with the National Academy Foundation which serves more than 88,000 students throughout the United States.
In 2010, we partnered with Enterprise State Community College and began offering college credit to our Academy of Business & Finance students. The seniors of 2012 were the first graduates to graduate with an Advanced High School Diploma/Advanced Career Technical Education Endorsement and an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Students must complete 70 hours of college credit while they are in the Academy of Business & Finance in order to be awarded their Associate Degree.
Students who participate in the Academy receive training at the Troy Bank and Trust —Academy Branch Training Facility located on PCHS campus and students will participate in a paid internship at the First National Bank—Main Branch during the summer between their junior and senior year.
